When starting any new eating or dietary plan, it is necessary to measure to see where you are in terms of metabolic health. Just like recording your weight at the beginning of your journey so you can measure progress, establishing your baseline metabolic status is extremely useful to keep you motivated and in the game. The following blood tests are recommended to establish that baseline.
Sarasota Sports Medicine director Dr. Ken Kaufman will host a free hands-on and interactive workshop at his office at Extra Innings - Sarasota on Tuesday, February 16th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
What Client's Are Saying
"My name is Tate Vangellow. I am 18 and have been a competitive swimmer for 11 of those years. This fall, I am beginning my freshman year at Nova Southeastern University where I will be racing for the NSU Lady Sharks. I started working with Dr. Kaufman about a year and a half ago for chronic shoulder pain which eventually was diagnosed as tendonitis, bursitis, and further down the road as a tear in my labrum. Dr. Kaufman used laser therapy and a series of rehabilitation exercises to bring my shoulder back to health and allow me to continue my training without pain. Dr. Kaufman’s rehabilitation structured programs allowed me to gain the use of my shoulder properly while building my strength and agility. Dr. Kaufman now offers me strength and conditioning program beyond my team training that has allowed me to reach my highest and fastest performances in the past two years! Dr. Kaufman is a highly knowledgeable individual who cares about each patient’s individual success. I definitely recommend him to any athlete or individual who is seeking to feel and be the healthiest they have been in years!"
