Neck pain and the related symptoms can be miserable. If you have pain in the neck that seems to contribute to headaches, pain that radiates to the top of your shoulder, or limits your ability to rotate your head, then you know how it can interfere with your life. Neck pain can develop due to muscle spasms, pinched nerves and joint irritation in the vertebrae. The junction between the head and neck is a common area of pain and will often be accompanied with intermittent headaches. Stress, poor sleeping posture, repetitive movements and overuse can contribute to neck pain. Of course, there can be more severe causes of neck pain that need a careful diagnosis. Careful evaluation and treatment that consists of joint manipulation and adjustment combined with exercise rehabilitation can correct most causes of neck pain. In acute cases, the addition of deep tissue laser therapy will be of benefit as well.
