Michaela Mattes

Sarasota Sports Medicine recently had the privilege of caring for Michaela Mattes. She is a former Cardinal Mooney High student and Sarasota Sharks club member. She recently made the collegiate move to the University of Florida Gators. Her accomplishments have been outstanding:

  • 2022-23 U.S. National Junior Team Member

  • 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifier in five events

  • Gold medal winner in the 1650 free and broze in the 800 free at Jr. Pan Pacs

  • Selected to the 2022 18&U World Cup Team

  • 2021 Junior National Champion - 500 free, 1650 free

  • Four-time FHSAA Class 1A State Champion in the 500 free (3x) and 200 IM

  • Three-time Scholasitc All-American

  • 2021 USA Today/HT Prep Female Swimmer and Athlete of the Year

  • 2019 YMCA National Champion at 14 years old

  • #5 Recruit in the country and #1 in Florida according to CollegeSwimming.com

We’re very excited to follow Michaela in her future endeavors and we’re honored to play a very small role in helping her realize her dream. Go Michaela!!!
