Michaela Mattes
Sarasota Sports Medicine recently had the privilege of caring for Michaela Mattes. She is a former Cardinal Mooney High student and Sarasota Sharks club member. She recently made the collegiate move to the University of Florida Gators. Her accomplishments have been outstanding:
2022-23 U.S. National Junior Team Member
2020 U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifier in five events
Gold medal winner in the 1650 free and broze in the 800 free at Jr. Pan Pacs
Selected to the 2022 18&U World Cup Team
2021 Junior National Champion - 500 free, 1650 free
Four-time FHSAA Class 1A State Champion in the 500 free (3x) and 200 IM
Three-time Scholasitc All-American
2021 USA Today/HT Prep Female Swimmer and Athlete of the Year
2019 YMCA National Champion at 14 years old
#5 Recruit in the country and #1 in Florida according to CollegeSwimming.com
